TRYK — LEGAL
Privacy Policy
This policy says what information TRYK collects when you use the service, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it. The short version: we collect what we need to run your workspace, we use it to operate the service for you, and we never sell personal data.
What we collect
Account information: your name, email address and sign-in details, and the workspaces you belong to, with your role in each.
Workspace content: the records your team works in — objectives, projects, tasks, meetings, decisions, documents, messages and the company knowledge TRYK builds from them — plus what you type to TRYK when you ask it to work.
Usage information: basic technical data needed to run and secure the service, such as when you sign in, which features you use, and error reports (including the ones you file yourself with the Report a bug button, which attach the page you were on and your browser).
Payment information is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing details; we never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
To operate the service: keeping your workspace, showing your team its work, running the morning rundown, executing the plans you approve, and billing the workspace's subscription.
To let the AI work for you: when you ask TRYK a question or direct it to prepare something, the relevant workspace records are sent to AI model providers through our platform gateway so a response can be generated. That content is processed to answer you — it is not sold, and we don't use your workspace content to advertise to you.
To support and improve TRYK: answering your questions, fixing bugs, keeping the service secure, and understanding in aggregate which features get used. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who processes data for us
A small set of providers runs parts of the service on our instructions: Stripe (payments), our hosting and database provider (running the app and storing workspace data), and AI model providers (generating plans, drafts and answers when you direct TRYK to work). Each receives only what it needs for its part of the service.
Cookies
TRYK uses essential cookies only — the ones needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences — plus the local storage the app needs to function. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Retention
We keep your information while your account and workspaces are active. When a trial ends or a subscription lapses, your records stay in place (that's a product promise: nothing is deleted because you stopped paying). If you ask us to delete your account or a workspace, we remove its content from the live service and let backups cycle out in the ordinary course.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, to export it, to correct it, or to delete your account and data. Email thetrykapp@gmail.com and we'll act on it — most requests are handled within 30 days. Workspace content is controlled by the workspace's owners and admins, so for content inside a company's workspace we may point you to them, or coordinate with them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to workspaces is controlled by membership and permissions, and AI-initiated changes always pass through human approval — those controls are built into how TRYK works, not bolted on. No system is perfectly secure, though: if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will let you know.
Children
TRYK is a workplace tool and is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, tell workspace owners in the app or by email before it takes effect.
